The site will be accessed off Bedford Road (A428), via a new vehicular bridge link which will serve the entire Campus. The University of Northampton is developing a new state of the art campus in Northampton town centre on a 58 acre site, adjacent to the River Nene and within the Northampton Enterprise Zone. The Waterside Campus is due to open in 2018. The University has secured outline planning permission for the campus along with up to 300,000 sq ft of B1 offices, plus associated parking, and ancillary sports, retail and leisure uses. The University has reserved a prominent part of the site, fronting the River Nene, for commercial B1 development. The site will be fully remediated and serviced to its boundary. The University will be starting construction of the required infrastructure and its new campus in 2015. Savills are instructed to market the commercial land for sale for B1 development.
